How To Add Manual Accounts & Transactions

In Fina, we have updated our flow on adding manual accounts and transactions to improve the experience. Let us know what you think :)

How to add manual accounts and transactions:

  1. Click Add Account and select the type of account.

2. Link the account live via Plaid or decide to track manually.

3. For manual tracking, fill in the information you desire.

You can select the type as well as determine if it's an asset or liability.

4. Optionally, you can import manual transactions to ANY account using a Google spreadsheet. This action can be done in the accounts tab OR the transactions tab.

Simply authorize with Google, copy our Google Sheets template, and add transactions to it. They will populate into Fina and a preview will be shown to verify.

5. This test transaction is now populated into your Fina account! It functions the same as any other transaction and is always related to whichever account it's tied to. You may keep updating this Google Sheet with more manual transactions for that account as needed.

6. Updating Transactions in the Spreadsheet
To keep things running smoothly with Fina, please always add new transactions at the bottom of the sheet. Try not to reorder the list or delete existing rows. By following these steps, Fina will automatically sync the latest transactions without any issue.
